What is the Open Coffee Club all about?

It is an attempt to establish recognized, open and regular meeting places where entrepreneurs can meet with investors (and anyone else who fancies coming along) in a totally informal setting. The key is a regular place and a regular time - it's not important who comes along, some days it might be no one - just that people know if they want to meet, this is the time and this is the place.

GMIT CASTLEBAR INNOVATION CENTRE TO RUN SECOND ENTERPRISE TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR SMEs

An innovative enterprise-training programme for small to medium enterprises is to commence in the GMIT Innovation in Business Centre (IiBC) in Castlebar in March following the success of the  pilot programme last March. South West Mayo Development Company and Mayo North East Leader Partnership Company supported the programme under the Rural Development Programme 2007 – 2013.

Mayo Business Network to discuss Supports Available for Starting Out in Business

Workshop seeks to give job-seekers the interview edge

Job seekers in Co. Mayo will be given the opportunity to sharpen up on their interview skills, thanks to a forthcoming Mayo News Training Workshop.

Enterprise Evening at GMIT Castlebar, Thursday 30th September from 6.00pm.

The yearly Spirit of Entrepreneurship Event organised by the Innovation in Business Centre (IiBC) will take place on Thurs 30th Sept from 6pm-8.30pm at GMIT Castlebar.

From 6pm the general public are invited to come and view a showcase of IiBC client companies. This will enable those companies to showcase their offerings and will allow you to speak directly to these new start up companies.

Two successful entrepreneurs, Johnathon Ruane and Leonard Moran will speak about their experiences of setting up a business. Both will share their experiences of establishing and running a business, including the many challenges and lessons learned along the way.

Members of the public are invited to attend the event. Admission is free. All are welcome.Light refreshments will be provided from 6pm. Booking is advisable as places are limited.

Preparing & Presenting Press Releases – MOCC September Meeting

Thank you to those who came to our August MOCC Meeting held in the TF Royal.  Considering it was a big holiday season there was still a good attendance for it. 

 The next meeting of the MOCC Club is scheduled to take place in GMIT Campus, Wednesday 1st September at 11am where Lesley Emerson of PR West & Liam Horan of Sli Nua Communications will facilitate a discussion on the best ways to prepare and present press releases about your business.
